Comfy and Cozy

I have a 15 hour plane ride to look forward to tomorrow, so its a necessity that I wear comfortable clothes. But I also want to look cute, and I need to stay warm! I always manage to start shivering halfway through the flight! So I plan on wearing layers: a cute scarf and a cozy cashmere sweater over a tank top, and of course packing my slippers to keep my tootsies warm mid flight!

What I hate most about travel

Packing, I hate everything about it. It stresses me out trying to pick what clothes I'll need (and I always end up not packing the one thing that I need the most), and how many pairs of shoes I can pack before I turn into Carrie Bradshaw. The whole process is just daunting to me, and with a two week trip looming in my future the topic of packing has been on my mind. For most of my traveling I use a pink duffle bag that I've had forever, but with this two week trip and going abroad in the fall I'm going to need something more heavy duty. I've been looking online and found this lovely modern looking Samsonite that would do the job perfectly.

According to the web site it has a hard shell to protect your stuff, but its still light weight. I also found these super cute luggage tags on Etsy.com, the front has super cute sayings like
"not worth stealing" or "my clothes wont fit you" and the back can be imprinted with your name and address. I loooove the
pale pink color too.

The truth is that packing is never going to be an activity that I will look forward too but with thoughts of a new suitcase dancing in my head the process seems a little less daunting!

Dreaming of the Beach

The past two days have been so hot and humid, it has me dreaming of the beach! Inspired by Roberta Roller Rabbit's gorgeous towels, I put together a look that makes me want to jump right in the ocean (even though the Atlantic is still freezing!). I was just in the Hamptons and I've been dying to got back ever since I got home. This look is perfect for a lazy day by the pool or just tanning in your back yard. I'm off to go try and cool down with an iced tea and dreams of the beach!

A Serious Case of the Mondays

Today was a bummer of a Monday. My boyfriend left for China for two months today, I saw him off at the airport this afternoon. In an attempt to perk my self up I started looking at photos of China online. Not only did they brighten my mood, but they got me excited for my own trip to China which is coming up very shortly. So with out further adieu, feast your eyes on these lovely photos. I'm off to get some frozen yogurt with my mom, because it is a cure all.

Hellooo, and welcome to my newly created blog. Even though I'm not in Paris yet I am too excited not to start posting right away. I also have a big trip coming up in about a week that I wanted to share. So lets start off the blog with some pretty pictures because what's not to love about that.
